USA:Region 2= Europe. DVD is the latest movie format and is really establishing
itself in the market. Most movies contain extra features like alternative
endings or deleted scenes. Picture quality is better than broadcast and with
Dolby 5:1/digital sounds great.
Very popular in Asia - took over
from video - a digitally encoded movie on CD which can be played in most DVD
players and on all PC's - most VCD movies come on 2 Disks and quality is on a
par with a good Video Tape.
